The International cyber exercises cybeRRing 2026 have concluded in Minsk. Key results

 April 28, 2026

The first international cyber exercises, named cybeRRing, took place at The Republican Unitary Enterprise "National Traffic Exchange Center" (NTEC) under the auspices of the Operational and Analytical Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus. This large-scale event brought together over 50 teams from five countries.

The competition ran from February 24 to March 12, 2026. Teams from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan participated. The training was conducted at the national cyber training ground of the NTEC — a virtual infrastructure that fully simulates real-world facilities.

During the competition period, participants investigated cyber incidents, honed their practical skills, and developed teamwork in conditions as close to real-life as possible.

What the exercises showed:

  1. High level of training. Belarusian teams have proven their ability to effectively operate in the face of real-world cyber threats.
  2. International recognition. Partners from other countries have highly praised Belarus's unique experience in creating a cyber training ground and organizing exercises of this level.
  3. New agreements. Memoranda of understanding in the field of cybersecurity have been signed with companies from Russia and Kazakhstan—another step in the development of systemic international cooperation.

NTEC Director's comments:

Director Alyaksey Tsymbalau noted:

"The Belarusian cyberattack countermeasure system is effective. Our experience is of interest to our international partners. Today, the country has 34 cybersecurity centers, and the cyber training ground is in demand by both government and private teams."

He also emphasized that the recent exercises confirmed that a cyber-testing range is not just a technology, but a necessary tool for training specialists and testing the readiness of infrastructure.

Industry implications

СybeRRing 2026 became not only a competition platform but also a venue for exchanging experiences, strengthening international ties, and showcasing Belarusian cybersecurity expertise.
